Medline Brand Bed Recall: Unplug Your Bed

On October 14, 2026, Medline announced it is removing all Medline Brand beds from the market. This includes homecare, bariatric and long-term-care beds, along with their hand-control pendants, accessories and replacement parts.

Why

  • Electrical parts in the bed can overheat and cause a fire.

  • Bed accessories, including side rails, can cause entrapment.

What to do now

  • Unplug the bed and any battery packs.

  • Do not use the electric functions. You may keep using the bed in manual mode until it is replaced.

  • Use the electric functions only in an emergency, such as choking or CPR. Never use an extension cord, and keep the pendant and power cords routed and secured.

  • Do not use any bed accessories, including side rails.

What happens next

  • If you have not received a safety label for your bed by November 30, 2026, call Medline at 800-950-0128.
